Marine Cpl. Riley E. Baker
Marine Cpl. Riley E. Baker was a 2002 graduate of Eureka High School. He was a stand out athlete, lettering in football and wrestling. In 2002 he became the school’s first-ever Missouri State Champion wrestler.
He enlisted in the Marines in February 2004 and was a Scout Sniper Team Leader of the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Expeditionary 2nd Marine Division and earned the Bronze Star with Valor.
On June 22, 2006 Cpl. Baker was killed in action in the War in Iraq in the Al Anbar Province.
